Oh, dreamy Dartmouth! Today, we’re celebrating six incredible years of our little family business – an artist-designed gallery and store born from creativity and a big leap of faith. We’re proud to stand alongside fellow artists, makers, and independent retailers, helping to keep our high streets more colourful.

It all began in 2018, when we transformed the old fishmonger into
our line art nook. With a toddler in tow and big dreams in our hearts, we worked day and night, pouring love into every detail. Six years on, what started as an idea, has grown into something beyond our wildest dreams.

Who are we? Bert is at the heart of our brand, a contemporary artist whose bold, vibrant line art is inspired by the beauty of nature and the ocean. His designs bring joy to everyday living with their simple, captivating style. Lisa pretty much does everything else - we call her the "buoy" because she keeps our small yet mighty brand afloat. 

We’ve channelled our love for nature, the ocean, and the art of making, into every piece we create – joyful, bold designs handcrafted with care, originality, and sustainability.

From our ink-splattered Devon studio to collaborations with talented artisan friends, we create heirloom-quality, British-made products using sustainable materials—because there’s no Planet B. We’re always dreaming up new ideas, seeking out more beautiful collaborations and we currently work in paper, ceramics, textiles, metals and wood.

We also take on bespoke projects from immersive takeovers and large scale murals to private commissions for custom art and interiors too. You might have seen our work in The Guardian, Coast, Mollie Makes, The Observer—or perhaps brightening someone's beautiful home!

This milestone is more than a celebration of us; it’s a celebration of YOU – the people who visit, like, share, and support what we do. Running a small indie business isn’t always easy – long days, late nights, it’s tough out there - but your belief in our brand keeps us going.

This business has truly changed our lives, and we’re endlessly grateful for every single one of you who’s been part of the journey. Here’s to six amazing years – and many more to come!
