Art, me and The Hilton: My biggest collaboration yet

If you're looking for hotel experiences with serious style and soul, the Hampton by Hilton Bournmouth and Torquay should be at the top of your list.
This project has been two years in the making — a joyful, full-throttle creative collaboration with the brilliant team at THAT Group. They’re the kind of partners every artist dreams of: bold, visionary, and completely fearless when it comes to embracing big ideas.
To say I was honoured to be chosen as the featured artist for TWO entire developments is an understatement. I still have to pinch myself every time I walk through the doors.
Contemporary Coastal, Reinvented
These hotels are more than just a place to stay — they're a coastal art experience. The interiors are rich and modern: think velvet, brass, mirror, bold panelling and warm fluted walnut finishes. But it’s the art that brings the space to life.
This is where my world — and my love for the coast — takes centre stage. From supersized murals and statement canvases to custom wallpapers and sculptural installations, my work is woven into the fabric of the hotel. It’s a playful and powerful celebration of life on the water and the spirit of the Great British seaside. And yes, it includes two of my sweetest series yet — The 99 and Oops! — serving cheeky charm and nostalgic vibes with a contemporary twist.
A Shoal Like No Other
One of my favourite pieces in the hotel? The epic, tessellating shoal mural. Designed with a geometric wave backdrop (cut using CNC precision and finished with a seafoam wash), the artwork features hand-sprayed, lacquered fish in shimmering colours inspired by saltwater, seaweed, and shimmering scales. Each one was individually crafted to slot into the waveform like a perfect puzzle — art meets maths, and the result is pure magic.
From Torquay to Brighton & Bournemouth
With permanent installations now featured in Hilton Hotels in Bournemouth and Torquay, this journey has been nothing short of incredible. I'm beyond proud to bring contemporary coastal art into these iconic spaces, and to help reimagine what British seaside hospitality can look (and feel) like. Here’s to more art, more sea, and more unforgettable stays.
