This major commercial art commission gave Bert the opportunity to work with world-leading hotel brand Hampton by Hilton and award-winning property regenerators THAT Group, delivering immersive contemporary artworks across their Bournemouth and Torquay hotels. 

The brief was to reinvent the seaside getaway through bespoke art installations for hospitality spaces, creating a modern, playful guest experience rooted in place. The result is a cohesive, site-specific art programme that runs throughout the hotels - from lobby and reception areas, through bars and dining spaces, into lifts and more than 130 guest bedrooms. 

The hotel's contemporary coastal interiors provided the perfect canvas for Bert's signature style, combining graphic storytelling, colour and humour to create memorable moments at every turn. 

Art The Transforms Commercial Interiors 

Seen through Bert's eyes, the British seaside becomes richer and more imaginative. The commission features large-scale canvases, custom wallpaper, vinyl backdrops and three-dimensional relief murals, designed specifically for high-traffic commercial environments. 

Guests are invited to spot coastal birds, discover towering ice creams, follow shoals of fish and explore illustrated scenes of waterfronts, piers and local landmarks. Each artwork enhances wayfinding, atmosphere and storytelling - demonstrating how contemporary art can elevate hotel interiors and public spaces.
