It began with an empty wall - and an opportunity to create something truly considered. This residential art commission allowed Bert to design and install an entirely bespoke, site-specific mural for a beautifully modern coastal home.
Working in a minimalist style, the mural introduces a gentle rhythm across the wall, brining a sense of quiet calm and understated sophistication to the space. Meticulously sprayed in white-on-white tones, the absence of colour allows the form, movement and line work to take centre stage. While Bert is known for his bold use of colour, this piece represents his line work in its purest expression - a monochromatic composition of fish and waves that encourages contemplation, serenity and a reconnection with nature.

Crafted entirely from wood and sprayed in layered white finishes, this is a mural designed precisely for its setting. Every element responds to the architecture of the space, ensuring the artwork feels integrated rather than applied.
